Slam Stick: How-To Videos
Video 1: Overview and Configuration
This short video is the first of a 4 part video series on how to use your Slam Stick shock and vibration data logger. This video shows a quick overview of your Slam Stick, what is included in the kit and how to configure your device using the free Slam Stick Lab software.
Video 2: Shock Test and Data Analysis
This video shows example shock testing using your Slam Stick, and how to analyze the data. A large impact of over 1,000g and some drop tests of a few hundred gs is shown. The robustness of these recorders is demonstrated along with their high performance capability with high sample rates, wide measurement range options, and time stamping.
Video 3: Vibration Test and Data Analysis
This video shows example vibration testing using your Slam Stick, and how to analyze the data. High frequency vibration is recorded on a car engine. The ease-of-use of both the Slam Stick hardware and analysis software is demonstrated along with their high performance capability with high sample rates, low noise, and vibration analysis options (FFT, PSD, and spectrogram).
Video 4: How to Export Data
This video shows how to export your data using your Slam Stick, and how to analyze the data. The Slam Stick Lab software is great for that initial analysis; but Midé encourages customers to export the data for additional post processing in third party software programs such as Excel or MATLAB. The Slam Stick units can also record very large datasheets with their high sample rate, high resolution, and long battery life; so splitting up these large files is shown as well.
