Dr. Marthinus van Schoor has extensive qualifications and experience in a wide range of engineering fields. He holds several USA and foreign patents, and has won and managed many advanced technology development programs for commercial companies, the US Department of Defense, and NASA. His designs are on commercial and naval ships, and currently flying on the International Space Station. He is the founder and the current President of Midé.

Attila graduated from MIT with his bachelor's degree and his master's degree from Purdue University in the field of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He has been with Midé Technology since 1996. Attila shares a wide range of responsibilities at Midé and is heavily involved with many of the company's activities. He has significant experience in the application of smart materials to active systems.

Chris was born on Cape Cod, but has lived in many different areas of the country. His father's occupation in the Coast Guard led Chris as far away as Alaska, only to return to Massachusetts to pursue his dream of becoming an engineer. Chris received his BS in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University in 2002 and has been working for Midé ever since. To help Mide commercialize its technologies, Chris went to graduate school at the University of Massachusetts Boston where he graduated top of his MBA class in 2010. Chris enjoys many activities including weight lifting, rugby, basketball, and the occasional run.

Jeff grew up in a small town in southern Maine. He received his BS in Electromechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2007 and his PhD from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2012. His positive experiences as an intern at Midé lead him to start working full time just after receiving his PhD. Some of his interests include renewable energy, self-sufficiency, and the outdoors.

Andrew Cutler was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He attended Allegheny College Meadville, Pennsylvania to pursue an education in Physics. In May 2003, his lifelong dream came true when he graduated with a BS in Physics. Although a true west coaster at heart, he was drawn to the east coast and the opportunities offered at Midé. Among other things, his past experience includes working as an intern for two summers at Midé. Andrew intends to pursue a masters degree in an unspecified field of engineering.

Nick received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in August of 2009. He then returned to his hometown of Medford, Massachusetts and joined Midé where his focus has been piezoelectric actuators, shape memory alloys, and computational fluid dynamics. Nick enjoys many activities including cycling, hockey, and sailing.

Born and raised in Chicago, Tim joined Mide in January 2004 and successfully escaped a dark future of server administration and Web application development. He graduated from Tri-State University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. When not developing electronics, Tim also writes software in assembler, C/C++, Perl and PHP. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, hiking, camping out and hitting the slopes, but has also been known to chase spammers and spyware vendors around the Internet with a pointy stick.

Steve grew up in Westford, Massachusetts after living in Ireland for a few years of his childhood. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Aerospace Engineering and also a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). He began working for Midé in August 2010, a few months after the completion of his BS degree. When Steve isn’t working hard at Midé he enjoys playing basketball, golfing and traveling.

Jared is a Maine native hailing from Presque Isle up in The County. He has a B.S in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University, and a M.S in Engineering Management from Tufts University. Jared has been working at Midé since January of 2003 and his technical work has focused on aerodynamic structures and control, developing custom test setups and data acquisition systems, and looking for new applications for piezoelectrics and other smart materials. His studies at Tufts have led him to strive to help Midé become a better company every day. Jared likes sports, spending time with his family, and strumming a guitar on occasion.

Steve grew up on the south shore of Massachusetts (Plympton). He recieved his BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology in August of 2007, and began work at Midé a short time after graduation. If you can't find Steve sitting at his desk, or in the lab, he is probably out on his motorcycle, on the links, or fishing for stripers.

Cody O’Sullivan was born and raised in the Boston area. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he graduated in 2010 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Before coming to Mide, Cody worked for a solar energy company designing utility scale inverters. In his free time Cody enjoys snowboarding, playing guitar, DIY projects, and working on cars and motorcycles.

Mark grew up in the north shore town of Saugus and is a Bostonian for life. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering at MIT in 2008, a Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering from WPI in 2011, and is currently working on his MS in Mechanical Engineering at Tufts. He started working at Midé in November 2011 after working on airborne surveillance systems for over 3 years. Mark played football and lacrosse at MIT and currently coaches the defense on the lacrosse team. He also enjoys working out, golfing, being outdoors and making wine.

Native Bostonian. Dan comes to MIDE after a 30 year career in Telecommunications, the last 12 years in technical sales. Dan enjoys boating and golf in his spare time.

Brian is a Boston native. He gained his degree in Psychology at Bowdoin University, Maine. His interests are all sports in general, particularly rugby.

Kim is Chinese; she was born in Cambodia. She worked for ACX in the manufacturing department before moving to Midé after Midé acquired the ACX line.

Jeremey was born in Cape Cod, MA. He grew up in Chatham. After high school he decided that he wanted to join the military, he chose to join the Marine Corps. He was in for 4 years and says it was one of the best experiences that he has had. Now that he is out of the military he is working for Mide.

Mike grew up South of Boston in Taunton Massachusetts. After High School he joined the US Navy and served onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln for four years. Upon returning home from the military he completed a B.S. in environmental science and clean energy at UMASS Boston in 2012. He joined Midé full time in June 2012 as an addition to the BSS team. Currently, he is working toward a degree in Mechanical engineering. In his spare time Mike enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking and any New England sporting event.

Reynold was born in Trinidad, W.I. He moved to the US when he was 13, and it was here that his interest in electronics grew. After moving to Boston he landed his first job in the field of electronics with Wang Lab. Since then he has had the opportunity of working with some of the leading engineers in the industry. Reynold's goal of becoming an electronics technician after 20 years has gained impetus since his recent move to Midé, and he hopes to begin formal studies in the next year where he is looking forward to being the best he can be. "A man that does the best with what he's got."

Caroline is British and was born in Surrey, Great Britain. She studied Art and Design at Croydon College. Before joining Midé, Caroline worked as an Assistant Accountant with a large Construction Company and a Security Company in London.

Marcelle was born in Pretoria, South Africa. She has a BA degree from UNISA. Marcelle is responsible for Human Recourses and also has an Administrative responsibility.

David is an Australian born in Papua New Guinea. He graduated from Newcastle University with a four year degree in graphic design, and has worked for several advertising agencies, and design studios in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. David has been working for Midé since May 2001.
